The MATE Foundation Programme offers military clients a series of delivery options, all amended in the light of the current global pandemic, to a part-time, online, digital and webinar-based service.

The MATE programme offers specialist:

• Navy, Army and Air Force branch specialisations
• Other ranks, SNCO’s and office programmes
• Engineering and ‘technical’ trade specific

There are four programme options:

• 4-week intensive pre-UK or Europe training deployment course
• 12 to 16-week fast track foundation programme
• 24 to 32-week foundation programme

Depending upon the delivery option chosen, subject to participant’s language level, the programmes and courses are designed to provide participants with the ‘academic’, study, transferable professional and common and branch military and specialist trade and technical English language knowledge, skills, competencies and attributes to be able to successfully undertake English language medium training in the UK or Europe; and to work effectively with UK, US and NATO allies.

At the moment due to the global pandemic, this course is only available publicly as a webinar-based programme or course.

The Aviation Fire and Rescue Services English language programme is designed for organisational, corporate and private clients internationally who require a best practice English for Specialist Training, Occupational and Professional Purposes (ESTOPP) programme or course in preparation for conducting specialist training in the UK, Europe, USA or other English language medium environments internationally.

The programme and course offers clients a robust, rigorous and best practice integrated ESTOPP programme, which combines English language training skills, a focus on specialist aviation fire and rescue and ‘technical’ subject matter expertise, and added value transferable academic and soft skills. The focus is on developing English second language competency and skills, learner learning; and on delivering through a blend of ‘academic’ understanding, knowledge and theory, with a strong practical and task-based learning-focused approach.

The programmes and courses can be tailored and bespoke for clients’ requirements, and examination preparation for both specialist ‘technical’ and ‘academic’ entry requirements and assessment purposes can be included.
